Reason for Inactivity

So, most of you have probably noticed that I’ve been completely inactive lately, and there’s several reasons for that.

The biggest reason is that I’m unable to upload any photos. Every time I try, it gives me an error message. And, I’ve tried various ways to remedy this situation (i.e. using different computers with different IP addresses, submitting photos to myself, etc.) and no dice. With a quick search, I discovered that other people have had similar problems, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why/how it appeared.

Also, as a new, far more active Kino blog has popped up during this time, I really see no reason to continue with this blog when the only thing I can do is reblog others and/or put up quotes.

So, I guess this is kind of a farewell? Except not really, since I might return if Tumblr ever decides to fix the photo problem. Or I might return just for the heck of it. Who knows. Just keep in mind that I’m not longer regularly or actively updating.

Kino is a traveler, a wanderer, a drifter. She is always traveling, and only stays at one village/town/city/kingdom for three days. She is a girl who has cut ties with her old life, taking on a new name and a new calling.

This fanmix is about Kino’s growth from the young girl who didn’t want to have her “operation” to the strong young woman who still thinks the world is beautiful despite- or maybe because of- all the bad things she has seen.

Songs were chosen based on both the lyrics and the feel of the song.

The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.
I pack up my belongings and I head for the coast.
It might not be a lot but I feel like I’m making the most.
The days get longer and the nights smell green.
I guess it’s not surprising but it’s spring and I should leave.

I like songs about drifters - books about the same.
They both seem to make me feel a little less insane.
Walked on off to another spot.
I still haven’t gotten anywhere that I want.
